Es zeigt einen mann, der seine frau ersticht, nachdem ihr zu unrecht ehebruch vorgeworfen wurde . Wenn der mann die wahrheit entdeckt , er bittet um verzeihung an st. . Anthony , wer belebt die frau ( diese szene ist rechts in kleinerer größe dargestellt ) . Der idyllische hintergrund ist inspiriert Giorgione's gemälde .
